Considering how we got here
 
Much of my academic work is on early Christian history.  I am frequently shocked at how poorly Lutherans in general are educated about the early church or have any appreciation for or knowledge of our fathers in the faith.  
 
One of my goals is to discuss and explore the Lutheran church as an extension of and development of early non-Roman Latin Christianity.  We don’t have to think of ourselves as simply the anti-Roman Catholic faith.  There were other orthodox Western Christians before the Reformation who were not Roman
